NAME

ps_pglobal_lookup, ps_pglobal_sym - look up a symbol in the

symbol table of the load object in the target process

SYNOPSIS

const char *object_name, const char *sym_name,

psaddr_t *sym_addr);

ps_err_e ps_pglobal_sym(struct ps_prochandle *ph,

const char *object_name, const char *sym_name,

ps_sym_t *sym);

DESCRIPTION

ps_pglobal_lookup() looks up the symbol sym_name in the sym-

bol table of the load object object_name in the target pro-

cess identified by ph. It returns the symbol's value as an

address in the target process in *sym_addr.

ps_pglobal_sym() looks up the symbol sym_name in the symbol

table of the load object object_name in the target process

identified by ph. It returns the symbol table entry in *sym. The value in the symbol table entry is the symbol's value as an address in the target process.

RETURN VALUES

PS_OK The call completed successfully.

PS_NOSYM The specified symbol was not found.

PS_ERR The function did not return successfully.
