NAME

uuname - list remote UUCP sites

SYNOPSIS

uuuunnaammee [-a] [-aliases]

uuuunnaammee [-l] [-local]

DESCRIPTION

By default, the uuuunnaammee program simply lists the names of all the remote systems mentioned in the UUCP configuration files. The uuuunnaammee program may also be used to print the UUCP name of the local system. The uuuunnaammee program is mainly for use by shell scripts. OOPPTTIIOONNSS

-aa,, --aalliiaasseess

List all aliases for remote systems, as well as their canonical names. Aliases may be specified in the `sys' file.

-ll,, --llooccaall

Print the UUCP name of the local system, rather than listing the names of all the remote systems. Standard UUCP options:

-xx ttyyppee,, --ddeebbuugg ttyyppee

Turn on particular debugging types. The following types are rec-

ognized: abnormal, chat, handshake, uucp-proto, proto, port, con-

fig, spooldir, execute, incoming, outgoing.

-II ffiillee,, --ccoonnffiigg ffiillee

Set configuration file to use.

-vv,, --vveerrssiioonn

Report version information and exit.

--hheellpp

Print a help message and exit.
