uunnaammee - Print operating system name
SYNOPSIS
uunnaammee [-aammnnppssrrvv]
DESCRIPTION
The uunnaammee utility writes symbols representing one or more system charac-
teristics to the standard output. The following options are available:-aa Behave as though all of the options -mmnnrrssvv were specified.
-mm print the machine hardware name.
-nn print the nodename (the nodename may be a name that the system is
known by to a communications network).-pp print the generic processor type.
-ss print the operating system name.
-rr print the operating system release.
-vv print the operating system version.
If no options are specified, uunnaammee prints the operating system name as ifthe -ss option had been specified.
