NAME

sdiff - side-by-side merge of file differences

SYNOPSIS

ssddiiffff [OPTION]... FILE1 FILE2

DESCRIPTION

Side-by-side merge of file differences.

-oo FILE --oouuttppuutt=FILE

Operate interactively, sending output to FILE.

-ii --iiggnnoorree-ccaassee

Consider upper- and lower-case to be the same.

-EE --iiggnnoorree-ttaabb-eexxppaannssiioonn

Ignore changes due to tab expansion.

-bb --iiggnnoorree-ssppaaccee-cchhaannggee

Ignore changes in the amount of white space.

-WW --iiggnnoorree-aallll-ssppaaccee

Ignore all white space.

-BB --iiggnnoorree-bbllaannkk-lliinneess

Ignore changes whose lines are all blank.

-II RE --iiggnnoorree-mmaattcchhiinngg-lliinneess=RE

Ignore changes whose lines all match RE.

--ssttrriipp-ttrraaiilliinngg-ccrr

Strip trailing carriage return on input.

-aa --tteexxtt

Treat all files as text.

-ww NUM --wwiiddtthh=NUM

Output at most NUM (default 130) columns per line.

-ll --lleefftt-ccoolluummnn

Output only the left column of common lines.

-ss --ssuupppprreessss-ccoommmmoonn-lliinneess

Do not output common lines.

-tt --eexxppaanndd-ttaabbss

Expand tabs to spaces in output.

-dd --mmiinniimmaall

Try hard to find a smaller set of changes.

-HH --ssppeeeedd-llaarrggee-ffiilleess

Assume large files and many scattered small changes.

--ddiiffff-pprrooggrraamm=PROGRAM

Use PROGRAM to compare files.

-vv --vveerrssiioonn

Output version info.

--hheellpp Output this help.

If a FILE is `-', read standard input.
