NAME

oossaallaanngg - information about installed OSA languages

SYNOPSIS

oossaallaanngg [-ddllLL]

DESCRIPTION

oossaallaanngg prints information about installed OSA languages. With no

options, it prints an unadorned list of language names to standard out-

put. These names can be passed to the -ll options of osacompile(1) and

osascript(1). The options are as follows:

-dd Only print the default language.

-ll List in long format. For each language, oossaallaanngg will print its

component subtype, manufacturer, and capability flags. There are eight groups of optional routines that scripting components can

support. Each flag is either a letter, meaning the group is sup-

ported, or `-', meaning it is not. The letters map to the follow-

ing groups: cc compiling scripts. gg getting source data. xx coercing script values. ee manipulating the event create and send functions. rr recording scripts. vv ``convenience'' APIs to execute scripts in one step. dd manipulating dialects. hh using scripts to handle Apple Events. -LL Same as -ll, but also prints the description of each component after

its name.
