aattooff, aattooffll - convert ASCII string to double

double aattooffll(const char *nptr, localet loc);

DESCRIPTION

The aattooff() function converts the initial portion of the string pointed to by nptr to double representation. It is equivalent to: strtod(nptr, (char **)NULL); The decimal point character is defined in the program's locale (category LCNUMERIC). While the aattooff() function uses the current locale, the aattooffll() function may be passed a locale directly. See xlocale(3) for more information. IIMMPPLLEEMMEENNTTAATTIIOONN NNOOTTEESS

The aattooff() function is not thread-safe and also not async-cancel-safe.

The aattooff() function has been deprecated by ssttrrttoodd() and should not be used in new code. EERRRROORRSS The function aattooff() need not affect the value of errno on an error.
